Introduction to Australian Universities and Higher Education

This supplementary induction program builds on the Academic Staff Orientation and Teaching at Melbourne programs and offers an introduction to Universities and Higher Education in Australia. The session will provide an overview of the current Australian Higher Education context, with particular focus on policy, governance and leadership.

Suitable for

This program is suitable for academic and professional staff new to higher education, or returning after a period of working in the private sector. Existing staff are welcome to attend, however session size is capped due to venue capacity and preference will be given to new starters.

Program structure

A 2-hour session offered on campus several times per year.
