There are many ways to add international and intercultural elements to curricula, including small changes to learning activities and larger changes in program offerings. Suitable strategies will depend on your teaching context, discipline, and learning objectives. The typology below, developed by Sophie Arkoudis and Chi Baik (PDF 205.7 KB), organises common strategies into four key categories of approaches.
It is possible that one approach may fall under multiple categories, and you might find other strategies that do not fit into these categories but work best for your context.
