John’s major teaching and research interest is in the field of international human rights law with a special focus on children’s rights. He has designed and taught a range of subjects in the law school and provides regular lectures on human rights in a number of other schools and faculties. He is the recipient of a number of teaching awards and has been a Visiting Professor at New York University, the American University Washington College of Law and Queens University Belfast.
