Harald Sondergaard has taught Computer Science at the University of Melbourne for 29 years. He has led course and curriculum development, including the design and introduction of a coursework masters degree. His interests include educational technologies, student engagement, and assessment, including student peer assessment. He has published on these topics, and chaired conferences on engineering and computer science education. 2001--2006 he was Associate Dean (Learning) in Engineering, and later he was Assistant Dean (Teaching Quality). He was a TalDeC member 2006--2016. In 2007 he received the Inaugural Teaching Excellence Award from the Computing Research and Education Association of Australasia, as well as a Carrick Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.
