Carsten Roever is Associate Professor in Applied Linguistics in the School of Languages and Linguistics. He obtained a first degree from the University of Duisburg (Germany), and a Ph.D. from the University of Hawai’i (USA). He has been at the University of Melbourne since 2002. His main research interests are second language acquisition, language testing and second language pragmatics. He has taught a range of undergraduate and graduate subjects and is currently teaching on the Master of Applied Linguistics and the Graduate Certificate in English for the Global Workplace.
