Beyond quizzes: Facilitating engagement through assessment and feedback
Assessment signals what is most important within the curriculum. Feedback provides guidance on improvement according to what matters most. Productive student engagement within the curriculum relies on both processes functioning effectively, together. This session addressed key aspects of assessment and feedback and how they may be aligned with each other and the curriculum to increase achievement and engagement. Special attention was paid to how this might be accomplished in online settings.
