Uta’s teaching portfolio has a broad scope and encompasses more than 25 years of lecturing experience in chemistry at both undergraduate and graduate level at the University of Kiel (Germany) and The University of Melbourne. From 2009-2013, as Director of 3rd year studies she designed the Melbourne Model 3rd year chemistry curriculum. From 2009-2011, Uta was involved in the curriculum design of several cross-disciplinary subjects in the Master of Environmental Science degree. From 2013-2017, as Chair of the Academic Programs Committee in the School of Chemistry she was involved in extensive curriculum design for the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, and had significant involvement in designing the chemistry curriculum for the Blended Bachelor of Science (= quality assured, internationally competitive BSc program at Savitribai Phule Pune University, India, that is supported by the University of Melbourne and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Pune). In 2018 Uta was appointed Assistant Dean (Undergraduate Programs), Faculty of Science and since 2019 she has been Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs), Faculty of Science.
