Piers is the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, chair the School’s Academic Programs Committee and represent teaching interests on the School’s Executive Committee. In 2019, he will serve on the MDHS APPC and BB&BSC Course Standing Committees, as well as the Chancellery SCAAG. At Melbourne University he has taught subjects in years 2-4, with class sizes ranging from 25 to 800 students. He has been at Melbourne University since 2010. Previously, he taught at the University of Massachusetts (Boston), Boston University and Harvard Medical School.
