Dawn is a teaching specialist and has been Director of First Year Biology for over 20 years. Dawn enjoys lecturing in Genetics to the first year Biology students in the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Biomedicine and to students at second and third year level.  In this period Dawn has received a number of teaching and engagement awards within the University and nationally. Dawn’s passion is teaching and curriculum development and she has published printed and on-line curriculum materials in Genetics, funded by commonwealth, state and university grants. Dawn has a special interest in the transition of students from secondary school, to University and she continues to coordinate a program held at the University for year 12 Biology students which has been attended by over 60,000 students.
