eLAMP consists of four online modules and an optional ‘advanced standing’ component:
Module 1: Managing and Developing Yourself
This module focuses on ‘knowing the self’ well before considering managing others. It has three main sections: leading the self; developing a critical reflective practice; and developing intra-personal intelligence.
Module 2: Managing and Developing Others
This module focuses on interpersonal intelligence and the specifics of transitioning into a management role; managing workplace relationships and developing others.
Module 3: Managing and Developing the Business
This module firmly situates business development within the tertiary education management environment and includes sections on thinking and working strategically and sustaining tertiary education institutions.
Module 4: Understanding the Tertiary Education Landscape
This module has two main components: the history and evolution of policy processes and outcomes relevant to higher and vocational education. It explores the increasing importance of management and the marketplace, policy settings, institutional governance, funding, internationalisation, institutional and sector diversity, and globalisation.
Advanced standing component (optional)
Successful completion of this option guarantees entry into any LH Martin Institute Graduate Certificate program with advanced standing of 25 credit points, representing half of the 50 credit points required to complete one of these programs.
eLAMP is offered through two modes: Guided Cohorts and the Public Program.
Guided Cohorts
The Guided Cohort mode is available to a group of participants sponsored by their institution. Participants are guided through the four modules by an experienced eLAMP facilitator and come together to share their learning in scheduled workshops.
The benefits of a guided cohort:
- Program moderated and participation supported by a knowledgeable and supportive facilitator who encourages discussion and peer-to-peer learning
- Participants stay together to complete an agreed schedule of all four online modules and workshops
- Options for customising the content to suit institutional needs
- Options for customising the delivery model (such as through additional workshops or gatherings and blended delivery options) to suit institutional needs and enhance participant engagement
- Scheduled workshops are held locally, often at the sponsoring institution, reducing travel costs
- Participants may earn advanced standing into one of three LH Martin Graduate Certificate Programs by successfully completing a supervised capstone assignment
Guided cohort are available by agreement between the LH Martin Institute and the sponsoring institution. If you would like to discuss options of offering eLAMP Guided Cohort at your institution, please contact Dr Arnaldo Barone.
Public Program
The Public Program is now closed and no longer taking registrations.
The LH Martin Institute is working with ATEM to develop a replacement to the Public Program. Information on this new program will be released as details become available .
eLAMP participants can complete an advanced standing component that provides guaranteed entry with advanced standing of 25 credit points into one of three LH Martin Institute Graduate Certificate Programs:
The 25 credit points earned through this option represents 50 per cent of one of the three Graduate Certificates. Successful completion of one of the Graduate Certificate programs can lead to the Masters of Tertiary Education (Management) program.
Guided Cohort Capstone
Advanced standing in the Guided Cohort mode is achieved through a Guided Cohort Capstone that requires participants to complete an essay/position paper (3000 words). With support from a supervisor allocated by the LH Martin Institute, the Capstone gives participants an opportunity to consolidate and demonstrate knowledge gained through the four modules. Capstone project topics are anchored to one of more of the modules.

Bridging Program
Advanced standing in the Public Program is achieved through a Bridging Program, which consolidates learning with additional assessments, interactive activities and workshops, and culminates with the production of an essay/position paper (5000 words).
Participants are supported by a workshop facilitator who guides them through a program embedded with interactive activities and exercises designed to give tangible appreciation of the issues that are tackled. Participants are also provided with the tools to successfully navigate the capstone project.
In the capstone stage, participants are given one-on-one support from a supervisor, who is drawn from one of LH Martin Institute’s highly regarded fellows or academics, to mentor and guide them in the development and preparation of their capstone project.
The bridging program begins with a two-week meta reflection focus and followed by four half-day Zoom sessions which will focus on working towards your essay/position paper:
The cost of the program is $2,500 (plus GST).
The next intake is scheduled for early 2021. The Bridging Program will be available until June 2021.
