Publishing the Book of the Future
Room G01 Ground Floor, Elisabeth Murdoch Building (Building 134), University of Melbourne, Parkville CampusMap
This workshop is for Staff at the University of Melbourne only.
Self-publishing used to be a self-indulgent last resort when no publisher would even take a second look at your book proposal, let alone consider publishing it commercially (self-publishing 1.0, if you like). But self-publishing has now been reborn in the digital age and self-publishing version 2.0 is a viable commercial alternative that allows the writer to wrestle back control from the publisher and communicate much more quickly and effectively to a targeted niche audience. This workshop will ensure participants are aware of all the exciting options available to them and look at planning the route from original idea to successful, self-published writing.
Presented by Mr Simon Clews, Director, Melbourne Engagement Lab, Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education.
Registration will open approximately three weeks before the workshop.
