Less is More
Room G01 Ground Floor, Elisabeth Murdoch Building (Building 134), University of Melbourne , Parkville CampusMap
This workshop is for Graduate Researchers at the University of Melbourne only.
Writer Charles Johnson very accurately said: “90% of good writing is re-writing.” In the creation of good prose the editing is as important as, or possibly even more important than, the writing. In fact, effective editing can make the difference between good writing and truly great writing. This workshop will show you how to keep your word count down in order to make your writing better. As Dr Seuss says: “So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads.”
