This Zoom webinar is part of the Spotlight on Engagement Series.

This presentation talks through the basics of engagement processes for creating research impact opportunities. The popular Research Impact Summit hosted by guest presenter Dr Tamika Heiden, is used as an example of engagement and what the impact of this has been personally, professionally, and for the research sector as a whole.

Dr Tamika Heiden has more than a decade of career experience as a researcher and research manager in the fields of health, sport and medical research that began with a sports science degree and a PhD in Biomechanics. Since 2014, Tamika has served as Principal of the Research Impact Academy, an international consulting service that trains researchers and research users in creating, capturing and communicating research impact within new and existing research projects and grants.

Working with a wide range of government and non-government organisations, she has shared her knowledge at dozens of conferences and symposiums, run workshops, been published in numerous professional and academic journals, been involved in the development of Knowledge Translation strategies at all levels and won multiple awards in translation and research impact.
