Early-Career Researchers Engagement Workshop

The Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education (Melbourne CSHE) teamed up with the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) Early-Career Researchers (ECR) Network to present an online workshop about engagement and collaboration for early-career researchers, including PhD students.
Dr Siew Fang Law is the Engagement Lead at the Melbourne CSHE and coordinated the series with support from the MDHS ECR Network’s committee, including a case study presentation by Dr Lucas Calais Ferreira, Twins Research Australia’s engagement strategy: challenges and early outcomes. The presentation discussed how TRA co-designed and implemented a knowledge translation plan to improve engagement with researchers, clinicians and the twin community.
The workshop focused on:
- Unpacking engagement concepts and practices
- Navigating and addressing engagement dilemma through case studies
- Discussing ways to improve engagement
