Dr Tracii Ryan is a Research Fellow in the Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education and the Faculty of Education at Monash University. In her role with MCSHE, Tracii provides conceptual and academic input into various research projects and activities conducted by the Educational Technology Research Group.

In her role with MCSHE, Tracii provides conceptual and academic input into various research projects and activities conducted by the Educational Technology Research Group.

Tracii’s research expertise bridges the disciplines of psychology and education. She has been conducting research into the human uses of technology since 2011, with a specific focus on cyberpsychology (the interrelation between human behaviour and technology use), individual differences, and teaching and learning.

Tracii has presented and published research focusing on motivations and preferences for technology use, risks and benefits of social media use, and evaluations of technology-mediated assessment feedback. Her current research interests relate to mitigating digital distraction from learning activities, using technology to enhance assessment feedback, and assessing students’ affective reactions to assessment feedback.
