What does a truly engaged institution look like? As tertiary education expands into the community it is important to build more effective relationships with industry, business and society. 

There is substantial shared value to be created from institutions aligning education and research, and from businesses forging new partnerships with researchers and educators. Comparatively, Australia's track record is patchy in this area, though instances of superb performance offer guidance for change. 

How can greater engagement be generated? 
What are the best ways for building careers across universities and industry?
How can we overcome persistent obstacles to unlock value-creating change?
